I think our death bowling needs some work. it's getting a bit embarrassing that we can't get rid of a no.11 batsman.

Nasty blow there, nice to have a nasty fast bowler like Ferguson though that doesn't allow the tailenders to just have a picnic out there.
When I saw that live I wasn't even sure Madushanka would still be able to hold a bat.

Kind of annoying that he's still out there.

It's a flat one and Sri Lanka are digging in ... not like they're running away with things. Our bowling hasn't been great in this World Cup at times, but this is nothing to worry about.

They saw off Boult and Ferg who are the best at it in the side, so fair play. Southee’s zip has certainly been missing after the first couple of overs

Is there any pressure on NZ to win easily/quickly to move well ahead of Pakistan on NRR?

Curious if NZ win, what that would mean for Pakistan in terms of their equation vs England.

If NZ chase this down in say 30 overs, by my reckoning, Pakistan will need to beat England either by about 240 runs or chase down a target in about 12 overs!!

We probably want to do it in about 30 overs to give Pakistan a nigh on impossible task

Now NZ will try to get this inside 30 overs to boost the runrate so far out of pak and afg reach. Good bye pak and Afghanistan.

In this World Cup the 240 run win seems much easier than the other option. Score 400 then bowl England out for 160 ... definitely not impossible. 12 over win seems unlikely though.
