Does Whiteman keep at all anymore? I can understand why Philippe is keeping giving he's a PONI but I always thought Whiteman's keeping was a lot better than Philippe's looks like it is

Murphy getting outbowled by Matt Short today isn't exactly ideal

A standard Junction Oval road by the looks of things

O'Neill really isn't much use on a deck like this

EDIT: and now he gets Silk. Turns out I'm the one who is not much use

Bowling in general isn't much use at the Junction

Just got to wait for the batsman to get themselves out

Hamish McKenzie debuting for WA. Left arm unorthodox spinner apparently. Interesting to see WA playing two spinners. Morris is back as well.

Good to see future test opener Tim Ward make a few runs yesterday. He's been disappointingly light on this season thus far.

It's actually more cicular, like the wheel of medicority.
Genuinely can't remember the last time South Australia had a genuinely stable opening partnership? Maybe Hunt and Weeatherald for a little while before the latter took a break and then moved, but before that I am genuinely not sure

Is he supposed to be an all-rounder too? Otherwise WA going full NSW with bowlers from no. 7

Yeah Hunt/Weatherald in 2020/2021 and 2021/22 was good.

Probably have to go all the way back to Hughes/Cosgrove before then.

I've heard he can bat a bit but he batted below Stobo in the Dan Hughes Cup game which doesn't fill me with confidence.
Probably one of those "all-rounder in club cricket, genuine tail-ender in State cricket" blokes

which is most Shield bowlers these days

Really don't think that Wylie should be batting 3 at this point in his career. Don't want to dent his confidence too much, but WA seems to be full of no. 5s.

Also just noticed that Hardie is missing - quad strain apparently.
