Not sure Cameron Green is the answer to a middle overs spin strangle but we shall see

I reckon the Aussies are going to choke and Afghanistan will finish 4th.
I mean even if Afghanistan beat us I still think they need another win to get over the NRR.

Or hope Australia lose to Bangladesh somehow.

Ouch. 200 looks quite nice right now, frankly.

I think this shows exactly how top-heavy Australia is, 3/114 isn't a poor position but it almost feels like 5/114 right now.
tbf Green has had two knocks this competition, India and Holland (run out), Stoinis the three and got 20no vs Sri Lanka, saffers and Pakistan the other two. Inglis less convincing with five knocks, same as those two combined, 58 vs Sri Lanka, but a 38 vs kiwis and despite losing the last four wickets for 2 runs (!!) aussie middle order did ok

Tick it over till 40th over and try putting a score above 270.

well what do you know, shortly after I questioned why Butthead was holding back Rashid so long as the main wicket threat he is finally brought on as aussies appear to be taking control and he promptly throws the game wide open

poor from the aussies mind, see off the threat (s if Woakes remains one later) and it's buffet, Livingstone, Ali, maybe Root who I suspect will be on before long, Willey and Wood

or even simpler, let the "in" batsman play Rashid as he sees fit, just try and get a single where possible or punish a bad ball, but don't try and bat like those who did so hard to get in in the first place

then again Smith perhaps had he done it would still be in...

Obviously Rashid is the key here. The Aussies need to find a way to score off him without taking many risks.

Finch there giving a nice lesson on how good winning a WC is while sitting next to a bloke who won three on the bounce is an interesting flex
