Yeah the NZ team is solid for these conditions right now. Good batting depth with the right amount of cake and icing as well as bowling options. At least
Only Sodhi and Southee haven't played so far. Sodhi most probably will play today.Well, I’m also sure that anything could happen.
This was probably the game we were targeting to play one or two of the scrubs. Now can we risk it?
Lot of these teams are very good on paper. If you time your run well and have momentum at the back end of the tournament then anything can happen in the semisFrom what I’ve seen so far the only team I could see challenging New Zealand is India. Obviously missing Williamson again for a little while but with him, Conway, Latham and Mitchell we probably have some of the better players on spin in this World Cup.
The bowling is our issue but so far so good especially with the 5th bowler.
Nah I’d rate Ind and Nz’s spin attacks higher. Some of the figures of AFG spinners are exaggerated cause of playing Bang/Zim etc too often.Afghanistan have the best spinners in this tournament. Don’t forget Noor Ahmad who plays for Gujarat Titans . So please cut off the water supply now
Chennai pitch is a spinners pitch 80% of the time and a batting pitch 20% of the time.Trying to get some early intel on the pitch, but couldn't find anything yet except that it's odds-on likely to favour spin as apparently it's a red soil base as opposed to black-soil base we saw in the NZ vs Bangers match which of course was quite seamer friendly and assisted NZ pace bowlers.
We'll get the verdict fairly soon.
Yeah I know it generally favours bowlers, but was quietly hoping from a NZ POV that this one is as much pace friendly as spin friendly like NZ's last match there, but I suspect it will favour spin which will of course will be more challenging for NZ.Chennai pitch is a spinners pitch 80% of the time and a batting pitch 20% of the time.
Not sure about this. Against England it was the spinners who caused them problems. They play pace quite well. We'll see.Lockie, rattle em like ya did the bangers. They don't like that kinda pace. Can totally see them dining out on henry and perhaps even trent. Santner I believe will be more than smart enough to adapt, because they will go after him probably the most.
As for their spinners...well....our batters need to be ready. They will be tested. Rashid and Mujeeb sky high on confidence. Don't sleep on farooqi as well, looked good with the new ball and has decent pace, control left arm inswing.
No. Mate a decent win for NZ todayHave a feeling that NZ will bottle this
We can hope thoughCan’t see New Zealand doing what South Africa and England have done
