Afghanistan have the best spinners in this tournament. Don’t forget Noor Ahmad who plays for Gujarat Titans . So please cut off the water supply now 🤕
No one doubts their spinners it’s just always if they’ll have a decent total to defend

If the games of the last few days have taught us anything it's DON'T TAKE AFGHANISTAN LIGHTLY!!!

Now some people say I'm a pessimist and a "glass is half empty" kind of guy. I'm not. I'm a "fumble the half empty glass, glass smashes on the ground, I walk in the broken glass with bare feet, my wife leaves me and I die of tetanus" kind of guy. So don't **** this up NZ!

NZ are the only Test nation that haven’t lost to minnows in their ODI WC history (Read on Twitter)
Yeah it’s quite surprising that we never really seem to have any problems in these matches. Maybe being a traditionally less talented side we are used to fighting in every match.

Anyway, let not complete the hattrick of upsets. 😬

Lockie, rattle em like ya did the bangers. They don't like that kinda pace. Can totally see them dining out on henry and perhaps even trent. Santner I believe will be more than smart enough to adapt, because they will go after him probably the most.

As for their spinners...well....our batters need to be ready. They will be tested. Rashid and Mujeeb sky high on confidence. Don't sleep on farooqi as well, looked good with the new ball and has decent pace, control left arm inswing.

To add to the tempting of fate, our batting looks less likely to randomly lollapse because it has a large proportion of cake, rather than hit-or-miss icing. Even Phillips and Chapman at 6 and 7 are playing the hitting roles where they'd probably prefer to bat 4 or 5 instead.

80/6 incoming.

We've all been noting that, though odd time to say it after Afghanistan and Netherlands both just pulled off upsets.

India is fairly large roadblock in match 5.

From what I’ve seen so far the only team I could see challenging New Zealand is India. Obviously missing Williamson again for a little while but with him, Conway, Latham and Mitchell we probably have some of the better players on spin in this World Cup.

The bowling is our issue but so far so good especially with the 5th bowler.
