There is a newly renovated 438 Bar, at the back of the Unity stand. Decorated with the wooden seats from the old open stand (it remains an open stand with new seating) and with 438 emblazoned onto the entrance, it is the most popular watering hole at the stadium, and a tribute to the legacy of a match like no other.

I was at that game, the SA innings was great, three tons, but it was boring after that. Not a great ODI by any stretch of the imagination.

I wish I was a man of enough focus, commitment, and sheer ****ing will to hate anything as much as Marius hates Firdose Moonda's contributions to cricket journalism.

Don't get me wrong, her articles are cliched crap, but which "analysis" pieces on cricinfo aren't, these days?

Speaking of really great high scoring ODIs, just had a dream about an alternate reality World Cup group stage game between England and New Zealand.

England bat and get skittled out for 62 (or 82, couldn't read it well in the dream). In response New Zealand are only able to post 61 (or 81), due to what most certainly must have been an epic England bowling performance.

The media immediately afterwards hail it as the greatest ODI of all time.
