Bruh Stoinis averages less than 20 with the bat since the WC. Half of domestic cricket could do better than that.

our batting still isn’t strong at all compared to the other top teams. Like I said Head if he can’t play is a big loss him opening and then marsh at 3 is way stronger then Smith and Marnus at 3 and 4. All the other teams have a line up that can get on with it. I don’t see what Marnus and Smiths plan was today going at around 4s to the 30th over. Smith and Marnus both in the team as anchor type batters isn’t great when we lose an early wicket like we did today I think someone like green moving up the order is better like how he does for t20s

Sure but part of the reason our batting is weak is because we kept playing absolute hacks like Stonis for game after game instead of getting games into more talented one day batsmen around the domestic scene.

Yes, but he scores quick! 15(15) at 4 would have saved us today!
If anything given where he usually bats in the middle order he's generally infuriatingly slow. Plenty of instances of him coming in with 10 overs left and instead of teeing off, chews up invaluable dot balls and gets out for 15 in the 48th over.

200 could be a winning score tbh

But I still see Australia scoring closer to 240/250, they have a good lower order.

Feels like this is one of those pitches where anything from 150 to 250 would be very competitive
Feels like one of them games where it looks a low scoring pitch, then the team batting 2nd go out and chase it 2 down at 8rpo
