Chennai, WC first game... I am worried 87 will repeat itself. Think its also the first WC since 87 to be held only in India. 1 run loss in a classic incoming. :(

This is the tie of the WC so far.

Just noticing in the poll there is an option for a tie. I thought all matches that finish level go to Super Overs so there technically can't be any ties?

87 was held in Pakistan as well, so it’s the first one full stop

It’s actually the first 50-over WC to be held in one country

75 and 79 were 60 overs, and all others have been in multiple countries (I don’t personally acknowledge wales as a country but some do, so…)

Good teams don't rely on individuals and have bench strength.
Yes Gill will be missed and the form he is in, his shoes are impossible to fill. However, it's an opportunity for someone else and strong teams aren't phased by losing on individual. Aussies don't have head either.
