Surely one of them moves states next year. Or Swepson just gives up
Swepson is allegedly more powerful within the halls of power

Both have allegedly been contacted by other states and it wouldn’t surprise me if Kuhnemann ends up in SA sooner than later

Big fan of Beau Webster as a cricketer. Can't see him every being seriously considered for national honours but he's the kind of versatile Shield cricketer you love to have at your disposal. Aggressive middle-order bat, brilliant slipper, handy off-spinner and can bowl big tall seam up in helpful conditions

While Edwards cleaning up is funny, it concerns me that groundsmen keep turning out these English style wickets in a high proportion of shield matches. They're conducive to trundlerdom.
It's definitely not a complete road but the pitch is nowhere near as bad as Edwards taking 6/36 would make it seem. Neser is great at exploiting wickets like that and he looked very innocuous in his first spell. It's not like NSW are famous for having a great top order either.

Yeah big potential for giving up our home dominance, which was built upon flat, hard and bouncy (hehe) pitches. Some might say it's already happened

It's got plenty of quite long grass on it either way.

Swepson looks to have bowled with unusual control. Would be ironic if he stops bowling trash balls early in his spells and finally gets it right exactly when he stops being of national interest

I'm sure it's just been a couple of good games but I'm really liking the look of Jack "the Frame" Edwards this year

Gilkes really isn't good enough for this level. Surely there's an alternative (not named B.Holt)
