Shame to see Terry Funk go. He must have been a wreck for the past six years or whatever since he retired though
Haha he had been a wreck since the 90s tbh. But yeah, all circumstances considered, a fair old innings.

Post more about wrestling Hing. You're better at that than other stuff.

He only turned to death match wrestling in the early 90s didn't he?

I remember watching that documentary where he turned down Vince for a One Night Stand ECW PPV and all that money...

If rumours are to be believed he did, but he just really didn't like his face. E.g. the eventually scrapped planned storyline where Christian's face would be blurred out at all times he was on screen lol
Christian was pretty lean back when Vince was frothing over the massive guys too right?

Haha I think he then went back and did it the year after though. Teamed with Dreamer vs Foley and Edge iirc.

That 2006 card looks pretty good. Cant remembered if I watched it though
Yeah from what I remember it was not bad, but not as good as the previous year's.

Cena vs RVD is great though, for Cena's shithousery towards the crowd as much as the match itself haha.

The way he heeled it up during his entrance by bowing his head so that his eyes weren't visible under his cap, and walked to the ring with the belt in the air, whilst all the crowd hurl abuse at him is an underrated great moment from that era imo.

Such a good moment - that crowd was ready to riot had Cena won. What a wasted title run it was for RVD though, completely ruined it by getting caught with drugs though. Was/is my all time fav wrestler

loads of WWE releases. Only real notable ones are Dolph and Mustafa Ali tbh. Ali in particular would kill in AEW

Shelton Benjamin too - that’s a 20 year career done!
Oh yeah he is an all timer - I more meant notable releases as in potential good pickups for AEW etc moving forward. Can't imagine Shelton getting a big run on TV anymore unfortunately. He was coming through as I first really got into wrestling in the very early 2000s, Smackdown was the **** back then
