Thank you, correct about Miller. This forum is obsessed with Miller in the same way that they are obsessed with Jadeja because they see the shiny averages and can’t look beyond that. To be an ATG all rounder, you have to be the best in the team at one discipline and able to get in based on the other. Neither Miller nor Jadeja qualifies. Botham, Dev, Imran and Hadlee all do as do Kallis, Sobers.

Swap Miller out for almost any of those guys and he would be the best bowler in the side. Does Miller deserve to be downgraded on account of being in a team with good bowlers?

For me, Kapil, Botham and Miller are in same bracket. I rank all three between Greatest 15 - 20 players of alltime. Kapil is underrated, Miller is overrated, Botham is in the middle.

Miller's low WPM can not be justified with difference in team quality. There wasn't 2-3 ATG bowlers competing with him.
If Miller had better team mates, that means Botham's runs and wickets were more valuable.

1.Playing in a better team boosts your batting / bowling stats. ( bar WPM)
2. He was not playing for 80s WI.

I agree with criticizing his low WPM. I think he is not quite as good as his average suggests. Still real good.

Depends on the make up of the rest of the side. Botham would bat 7 though he was at 6 for most of his career and he'd get the nod for Mr if you wanted a 7. If you wanted an 8 I'd go Marshall or Warne as they were the best bowlers in the list by far but depend what you needed in the rest of the attack before picking one or other.
