It's late in the game, but how are you all feeling about a Warne addition? I think he's a notch below Marshall as a batsman so seriously stretching the definition of bowling allrounder, but would anyone choose him over Marshall?

Honestly, on second thought should not have added Davidson and Dev either, the field is already too cluttered with viable options, enough to suit any given ideology. And the predominant one here has already been determined, namely pick the best possible bowler in every circumstance and do not let lack of batting depth deter that.

Whatever it takes!!!
Cos the he would be batting 6?

4/5 bowlers potentially changes things. 5 means you are getting very short of batting. The extra bowling is worth a lot more if 4.
ah, I misunderstood then,

In this case, I am picking the keeper to bat 8 and I would put Jaddu at 7 and as the specialist spinner if that is what it comes down to.

I just don’t see it, Botham was a frontline top of the attack pace bowler. Jadeja is a very effective bit piece
Depends on which Botham you get, as always with him. Jadeja is very, very good on home turning tracks, but not so good aside from that, but on the whole I think he still ends up being more reliable than Botham as a bowler.

We talking about Jadeja? He doesn't have those numbers. Although his bowling numbers are still pretty impressive for an all-rounder.

He literally has those numbers at home (batting 39.80, bowling 20.45)
And it’s even more exaggerated since 2016/2017 (you know, since these Indian tracks apparently became minefields), because his batting average shoots up because that’s when he really became a darn good bat.

In fact, even overall nevermind at home, this is his overall since:
2016: Batting 42.38, bowling 24.17
2018: Batting 44.00, bowling 24.57

Upon reflection, I agree Wasim himself wouldn't be an all-rounder in my view. Neither would Marshall.

To me, all-rounder means someone capable of batting in the top seven and being one of five main bowlers.

Only Kapil Dev, Jadeja and Botham qualify. Out of those, I choose Kapil since he was a slightly better bowler.
Then, Why dont vote him?

If we want a strong bowling lineup with good batting, go with Wasim. Wasim will bat at 8 and keeper at 7 but you get a top tier ATG pace bowler.

If we want a strong batting lineup with good bowling, go with Botham. Botham can bat at 7 and keeper at 8. You get a very good bowler and a very good batsman at 7.

Oh yeah, no one's doubting he's a goliath at home, and an all time great. For me, in either conditions he's a notable step below Ashwin as a bowler. I have Ashwin in my top 10 all time (either pacers or spinners).
