Both average the same. Afridi has 4 centuries compared 1 of Kapil. Afridi opened the batting too. So impact wise Afridi has played more impactful knocks.

Mendis and Jayasuriya have close to 0 overlap and Afridi debuted 12 years before Mendis did though.

Sanath Jayasuriya played from 1989-2011. Afridi 95-2015. I am not sure what you are talking about.

Afridi would make the SL side as second spinner before Mendis debuted. Jayasuriya, Mendis and Murali didn't play a lot together. Afridi makes the SL side between 1996 and 2008 over Chandana.

No. Chandana was a better legspinner than Afridi.

Afridi makes SL team at anytime in the history as a lower order batsman who can slog. We never had luxury of those.
