Could a Combined SC XI have beaten Waugh's or Ponting's Teams from 99 to 2007 in Australia?

Pakistan had what would be the whole pace attack in '99/00 and bowled poorly
Might be different with a better batting lineup tbf. Look at England's bowling pre and post Bazball. Scoreboard pressure matters. Though I still don't they'd win. Give Pakistan in '95 Tendulkar and they might have a better chance though.

Don't think just Tendulkar would be enough.

Probably not but he's the only guy who'd make a big difference. India's great batting and Pakistan's great bowling don't coincide at all. The bowling is only good '96 and before and the batting from '01 onwards.

Imo, in order to beat that Australian team in Australia you'd need fast bowlers capable on hard Oz wkts. Wasim is fine but spinners are all but useless in Australia. As for batting, Warne would be neutralized by the Indians but they're going to have a hard time with Glenn and Jason. So imo, a combined SC team from the same time frame won't make an ounce of a difference.

Hate the way you've worded the title.

They would have been favourites in the subcontinent against them. They would have likely lost in Australia, but could have beaten them given they'd have been relatively closely matched.

If you're asking whether they'd be better than them... I think very marginally 'yes'.

Wasim was much more than fine in Australia but yeah.

I will be happy just to see Anwar and Sehwag bat in the same match , what a devastating partnership that would be
