*Official* Fifth Test (The Oval, London) 27-31 July

It was a weird innings, he psyched himself out (partially because he was crying about the light towards the end) and almost played himself out of form and plunked a few half volleys. His first part was fine but when you're not even rotating the strike or trying to do anything to move bowlers off their line & length to rotate strike.

I reckon that might slide down

How did Usman miss that? Slow straight ball. Pretty ordinary batting

Don't feel sorry for him at all when you keep playing half volleys from the crease, it's bound to happen

That takes the "chicken**** moaning" tally this series to Australia 1, England 653
Khawaja literally moaned that an octogenarian hurt his feelings, but anyway he has missed a straight one so I'm sure someone will look at him funny on the way off and they'll have to be ******ed out.

Honestly the way he plays on the front foot is worse than a tailender. Him succeeding despite that has me convinced that technique is overrated af.

I saw Majid Khan have a net with his shoelaces tied together to prove that head position was more important than footwork in batting

Smacked some international bowlers everywhere

A good wicket in regards to the tempo of the game.

Smith & Head if they both stick around will crack on now and will lift the run rate over 3.

With Khawaja it could've been another session mired in drowsiness & lethargy.
