Truman was fast. and better than all of the above.
He was fast until about 1960. That year was probably his peak. It was said that his bowling in the West Indies in 1960, combining pace with swing, may have been the best by an English fast bowler abroad. 21 wickets @ 26 didn't do him full justice.

Now more sure of his place in the side, Trueman had matured considerably and was a very intelligent bowler. When a couple of bouncers to Sobers ended up in the stands he reverted to a fuller length and used the short ball sparingly.

After that came his statistical peak in Tests when he was no longer fast, relying on nous, movement through the air and off the pitch.

Not a single mention of the top seam test wicket taker of all time

and I’m not sure about the old timers pace as is cricket the only physical sport in the world where the modern day game has participants that are slower than those in the 1900s

Trueman admitted he was never as fast as Tyson.

During his statistical peak, footage suggests Trueman was probably bowling at a similar pace to Anderson and Botham. Possibly also somewhere near Barnes and Hammond. That would give a rather samey all-time attack.

Anderson also regarded himself as a fast bowler in his younger days before cutting his pace and becoming more effective.

When fully fit the likes of Richardson, Kortright, Larwood (before foot injury), Tyson, Malcolm and Wood carried on bowling flat out.
