Maybe try reading again. This canard gets brought up again and again it was just a thin nick. It was about 75% off the bat, the sharp angle being why it deflected off Haddin's hands rather than him having a chance. It was a shocking piece of umpiring.
Why would I ‘try reading again’, your post is entirely consistent with mine. Why are you always looking for a scrap, champ?

So either you have no objection to what I wrote the first time, in which case there was no need for your response, or you've misunderstood or are being disingenuous.

Yeah fans abusing players from the crowd is a total meh to me but I think the special nature of the Long Room with the players having to walk through means they should be held to a higher standard. If you want to call opposition players cheating ****s then sit in the stands.
I got 5 there in a midweek game in front of about 6 members

Clapped on and off the field, one old guy said “well played young man”

Very different place & that won’t go down well with many

Three have been suspended apparently. I think it's the right call, even though earlier reports of physical contact seem to be (thankfully) incorrect.

If they want to pay their money to get drunk and abuse the players then I don't mind (said Cribb replying to Adders ) but they forfeit their special direct access to players walking through the pavillion if so; they can do it with the Barmy Army.
Except the Barmy Army aren't welcome at Lords (stfu Burgey  )

I despise Lords......apart from the fact we're historically **** there it's just a **** venue, full of **** people and is generally a dull and **** atmosphere. I'd never pay to walk through their gates.

It was a great innings by Stokes, he has the rare ability to tear an attack to shreads.

Eventually the Aussies bowlers took the 4 wickets they required.

We have had 2 exceptional test matches.

Australia will play at least 1 fresh bowler, probably 2 in Headingley, the pressure on England will be intense.

Agreed, the Lords members can't be trusted and should be put behind metal wires and bars.

Oh wait were we talking about some incident in the Long Room?

Imagine copping a lecture on the spirit of cricket from Brendan McCullum of all people. Fmd.

Should be more concerned about pissing away two tosses and the best of the conditions plus being unable to beat a side which went a bowler down on day two.
He's just grateful it's given the press something else to focus on apart from how **** they were.

Reckon that investigation will go on a while.

There's a lot of hardcore traditionalists in the membership that would be seeing blood at the moment with how the MCC has been embarassed.

It was certainly a hell of a lot more involved than the 3 that have so far been suspended, there was about 20 around the staircase in the different angles.

I suspect the 3 suspended (at this stage), might be the ones accused of trying to trip the players returning from Lunch.

I’ve asked why you always seem to be spoiling for a fight and your response is that there is no need to respond to your posts unless lodging some sort of objection to them. I rest my case.
I saw someone repeating a well-worn piece of misinformation (which tbh was really duffer). You seem to have taken personal offence for some reason.

You’re asking why I would dare reply to your posts (without even bothering to disagree with you no less!) but sure, I’m taking personal offence

Ah man I am way too old for 2003-style semantic flame wars, I’m supposed to be an ageing shitposter. Sorry everyone.
