So if we're not going to bowl him today, when two of our frontline quicks are going at 7.5rpo and frankly deserve to, then when are we going to bowl him?

It's weird becuase in the last Ashes (admittedly I wasn't following it all live) it felt like he was brought into the attack judiciously and more often than not made an impact straight away, so it's not like Cummins doesn't know how to use him

Green's potential is sky high but his batting just looks so awkward. That shot he got out to wasn't even the first time he completely mistimed a short ball from an off spinner, he did it against ashwin in the Adelaide test too. Its like he's not balanced at all when he rocks back to pull it and ends up too early/late on the shot.

You really think Green is at that level in terms of potential?
Point is that his FC record when picked was very similar (actually I think a bit better?). Came in as a tyro and immediately looked too good for FC cricket even if it took time to work it out at Test level.

Definitely not saying he's going to average 60 after 100 Tests.

So, I didn't say it.

I still think what I actually said is correct though. Unless injury hits he should play 110 tests (Miller played 55) and average more than Miller's 36.97 (should be 40+ and a handy 5th bowler).
You indirectly are saying he will be a better all-rounder than Miller. You always pick your best for All-time XI.

I don't think 5 specialist bowlers is a good idea. The tail might be too weak.
They don’t need 5 specialist bowlers either. Gilchrist is the allrounder at seven, Davo bats eight, Warne nine, Lillee then McGrath. Some part time spin from Simpson and Smith to make a game of it so the other teams only lose by an innings and 120

Or you could even chuck in Border at 6 to roll it over.

He’s already in my side tbf, I just thought Simmo was better and TOTAB woud t be in everyone’s, though he should be
Hell, besides Ponting and Bradman all our middle order options are decent shouts as 5th bowlers. Smith, Chappell, Waugh, Border, plus Simpson as an opener. Miller is really unnecessary.
