*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

What a frustrating watch it’s been today! The pitch has still done enough to keep the pace bowlers interested and we’ve beat the bat a fair bit, but we’ve thrown some absolute rubbish down too!

We’ve been sloppy in a few parts, couple of dropped catches, far too many no balls and byes, not enough intent throughout. However, a few late wickets could edge it towards an even day.

Google puts the winning odds for Australia at 60, 20 for England, 20 for Draw.

So the only question for Australia is, is it time to declare yet?

I'd have a deep cover for Head, he's always going to play that shot so why let him have 4 for it?
Might not matter tbf, he hits it that hard. Just don't give him that sort of width in the first place

The way Anderson got him driving there is much more likely - he used to get caught at point and gully a lot.

Yeah you shouldn't be having a deep cover for Head at this stage of the innings, purely for the reason that you shouldn't be bowling there in the first place

I honestly love watching Head bat now. It genuinely makes no ****ing sense that he's this effective but this exact pattern happens virtually every innings now.
