*Official* Second Test (Lord's, London) 28 June–2 July

Maybe, and I know it’s anathema to England these days - maybe they’ll assess the conditions and set their plans accordingly instead of just being one dimensional and not adapting to what’s in front of them.
Fair point.

Obviously if the pitch is doing a bit, I'm sure the Aussies won't gave sweepers out but if it's a good batting pitch, I think they will.

Hope the weather allows for five days play

hope to see some fantastic cricket from both teams

hope after that England win

I'm more concerned with the high chance of cloud cover helping the ball move and as much as that helps our bowlers, it hinders our batting
Be interesting to see how England look to bat if it is swinging big

they will still look to go at a minimum four per over whatever the overhead conditions are like

im looking at a draw in this game with the forecast

Crawley opening with any sign of movement is not a good recipe for a solid start

We all know it bar the captain and team coach

I predicted if Starc plays he will have Crawley out, inside his opening spell

few people on here don’t think Starc will play so Crawley might have a chance , if it’s all right arm over again

it’s basically like a T20 powerplay the England openers. I can’t see either of them batting two full sessions

Here's an interesting thought if there is rain about. Do England try and fashion a result if the forecast is right and we are going to lose time over the 5 days?

Can we risk going 2 nil down?

I think they would but I agree we can’t go 2-0 down

they keep saying the result is unimportant so that appears to indicate that they would even forfeit an innings somewhere down the line

it’s been done before iirc in a test involving South Africa and England

that of course turned into a scandal with Hansi Cronje
