Couple these blokes, Gill and Siraj i reckon have borderline personality disorders. They make prime Ponting & Kohli look like submissive pussies
Gill is your typical sporting brat chosen one who’s had smoke blown up his arse since pre-teen years and hasn’t had to come to terms til now with with the awful, confronting truth - the same rules in sport and life apply to him like they do to everyone else.

once he comes to terms with the awful truth, he’ll likely be a better bloke and almost certainly a better player.

He needs a strong coach or authority figure to bring him to reality

Or he finds his own way there. But the spoilt brat act only takes you so far before you need to change to properly excel. There’s a stack of cases of it across virtually every sport. They adapt and grow or people get the shits with them and they fall away

A good win for Australia on the back drop that a combination of bad luck and stupidity saw India go into the match without 3 of their best players. Otherwise I thought Rahane justified his selection and I've now finally come to the belief that Kohli is not to be feared as he once was but should still be an automatic selection. Bumrah, Shami and Siraj look a powerful trio, but as a duo Shami and Siraj look vulnerable. I wonder how long it will be before Pant and Bumrah play tests again?

Australia's middle order is pretty much the best going around but this game put a doubt over how effective Khawaja will be in the ashes without removing it over Warner. Australia's pace attack isn't so inspiring atm but that may just be ring rust and this game might just be the worst they bowl all summer. It's surprising to see how critical Boland has become to our attack and he is the one I trust the most to deliver quality bowling. I'd go with the same bowlers for the 1st ashes test as they should all be better for playing this test plus Haze's fitness can't be trusted.

I hate the internet.
Haha yep. Just to make sure I googled Carey comments on Green's catch. No record of the quote we have seen in this thread. On the contrary he backed Green up as you'd expect. But you're right about the internet and it deserves a fair bit of suspicion.

I would bring in Neser for Green Mate. Green does not impress me at all and Nesr has some good scores in English County Cricket and is a better than handy bowler

Its attractive from a bowling angle as Neser and Boland would hold the fort until Starc and Cummins run into some form. I even trust Neser to score valuable runs more consistently then Green though Cameron much more likely to deliver the big score. I'd stick with Green as he is young and we need to invest in his talent. If Neser comes in it would be for Starc imo.

Bumrah's test career likely over. He has never recovered.

based on the india test form, australia will go down circa 3-1 or 4-1 defeat in my view. About 1 test only win in series by Aus.

England is in very good form at the moment- both with bat and ball, the bazball they will hit below par Cummins, Green and Starc out of the park. 5-6 RPO range. They will probably be more circumspect against Boland, Lyon and Hazlewood(if he plays). Overall its looking like a fairly big victory for ENG
