Thought about trying to leave him for the next round but definitely wouldn't have got him.
Especially having ended up last in R3 order - picking him ended up being the right decision for you - would have thought the likes of Trumper and Barington may have been picked before him though just for longevity even though I am highly rating him - marginally better record than G Pollock from same number of Tests and an ODI World Cup under his belt by this time.

Yeah wouldn't usually pick someone with so few caps this early but the nature of this one means you have guys like Headley and Pollock going early. Also in 77 he had just had the most dominant year anyone has had outside of Bradman.
