Man this squad sucks. At least there's 4 players under 30... 3 of them seamers in their late 20s, 1 young gun bat who's the second spinner in an SC tour oops bowling all-rounder right there. The other 11 are all 30–32. I know it's a huge golden age for NZ, but at least give us Clarkson, Ashok...

Clarkson should be there in place of either Nicholls or Neesham. That said, if the world cup was being played anywhere but the SC this year he mightve made the squad ahead of mcconchie

So the differences between squads are Chapman, Cleaver, Blundell and Seifert.

No Duffy either. These squads are basically the same as the Sri Lanka series. Do they just get a bunch of players signed up for plane tickets and exclude anyone else?

Sorry, this post is completely incorrect really. Chapman has done very poorly in List A stuff this season, 7 games (including an India ODI) for a sub-14 average. But, on the other hand, he is in fact a genuine foetus. According to NZC, he'll be born on 27 June this year. Quite the prodigy tbh.

That's just a terrible squad from NZ. Have no interest in following this series now. Was actually looking forward to getting into ODI season before the World Cup.

Watching the highlights of the 2nd T20 just makes the selectors commitment to Rachin the spin-bowling allrounder all the more infuriating. The dude is a pie-thrower. He'll bowl some good balls here and there, but he's Root-tier at best.
