*Official* Sri Lanka in New Zealand 2022/23

... I wonder why Bowes given more chances? He is even included in nz 10 matches tour of Pakistan.
Domestic white ball success. Aged 30 which is not too old for a 5 year NZ career as back-up white ball opener to Conway and Allen (with Ravindra or perhaps Katene Clarke as longer term options).

This season domestic T20 359 runs at 39, SR 157. Domestic 50 over 373 runs at 47, SR 103.

I want to hear more about the 26 years creating the model train set than I do "banter" commentary Scotty. Who has it? Wasn't listening much.

I missed the whole first T20I, so if both teams can conspire to make this one as close as that, inc super over, it would be great thx.

KW almost certainly missing the WC. Opportunity here to open with Ravindra in white ball and if he succeeds we get up to 4 spinners come October in the WC.

We won't do it because our selectors don't plan ahead ofc.

Tiny sample size of performances but it seems like Rachin's been a bit better in this mini-stint in the NZ side than last time, even if his role befuddles. Probably starts in Bangladesh next time we play in white pyjamas I reckon.
Yeah. Has the *SL in NZ but he's batted intelligently and with maturity rather than just trying to send it through cover every ball.

Eh, if there's anything Stead'll plan ahead for it's a SC ODI WC that's the end of his tenure (HOPEFULLY). It's just that he does not rate Ravindra as a bat at this very moment – even if he does look at him as someone with much potential – and would rather some homely traditional 30-year-old Chad.

I'd respect it but I'm battling to see what Bowes brings that George Worker doesn't. Both talented white ball players with dubious red ball stats but one is arguably MVP List A batsman outside ODI bois with excellent numbers, booming drives and a good pull shot and the other has far more concussions to explain the red ball stats.

Genuinely just Cantab bias imo.

Have seen many fielders fail to take a catch looking into the sun, but never someone pull hands away and fall on his arse quite like Seifert did there.

Ok, maybe I can imagine completely losing the ball despite sunnies, a hat, and a hand, but in Dunedin in April? What sun can there be?
