Even on his bad days he was alright. 1-70, 2-59, 1-74 aren't that bad in the modern game.He won them 2015 but iirc didn’t he go for plenty in some key games in 2019? Took a ton of wickets tho tbf.
Hence why it's the Kiwis lauding him as goat. He’s taken 14 poles at 5.6(!!) against NZ lol. That’s a pretty insane record to have against the runners up in both WCs.
Remove NZ from his WC record and hes still arguably the GOAT. 32 @ 19 .93 2-4fers and a 5ferHence why it's the Kiwis lauding him as goat.
Yeah Boult has a superb WC record.People don't realise just how good Starc is yet. You can't complain (rightly) about the era of mega scores and then look at Starc and think 'not great' or dare I say it 'not GOAT'.
Trent Boult runs Shane Bond closer in my estimation than many would think. If you can average sub-25 with good ER and back it up at World Cups in this era then you are pretty incredible.
Probably because he's not as good in Tests and even if you're a ODI superstar you tend to get overlooked until retirement if your Test game isn't as good or better.People don't realise just how good Starc is yet. Did you just copy and paste a @Burgey post about Jimmy Anderson here?He averages north of 32 against our lot and I just don't recall him doing anything special against us (probably has tbf but I don't recall it)
Just a bit mind blown he's getting rated this highly when I see him as having a very hot n cold career.
Flame away bitches.
We didn’t play him in ODI WC SF for Bhuvi’s batting abilities ?Not an ATG obviously but Shami’s WC record is 31 wickets at 15.8.
