Martin's all g. Did some excellent stirring of Rigor in the test series. Had great **** chat as a keeper.

McMillan was quite an effective coach tbh, and the ex-players seem to think highly of him.

So what do we blame this on

• Too much T20 and not enough ODI
• These players not knowing how to play as a group with so many regulars out
• Sri Lanka actually bowling good
• The box, THE BOX

It's amazing the little Aussies and Indians don't get lost when they go out to bat. Look at that lush grass. Very easy to lose your way.

Eden Park ODIs is as home as it gets with the extravagant bounce and swing but that's going straight in the Protected Folder. Shipley (and the others) were hard done by with their figures in unfamiliar conditions in Pakistan/India.

Sri Lanka just need to take this deep. NZ's death bowling lineup is horrid and there's some short boundaries they can expose. If they've got wickets in the shed 80 in the last 10 is very doable.
