Question on ban announcements

tbh i don't really have much sympathy for GS Kohli if he can't listen to simple warnings
Yeah sure. Straight to a six month ban though?
And ‘we don’t set the ban lengths’ is a weak as piss excuse too that they’ve used multiple times now. If the offence you hit triggers a ban that is too long, erm how about then changing that offence so the ban is shorter?

Give the guy seven and get on with it.

As a cricket fan, I fully support GS Kohli's decision to end his posting career on his own terms. Kohli has been a stalwart of Cricket Chat for over a while, and he has given his all for the forum and the sport. He has proven himself to be one of the greatest posters of his generation, and he has led cricket chat to numerous discussions.

do we only ban blokes with poor english for spam or does gnske get seven for this too
Poor English proficiency is not necessarily an indicator of low intelligence, as language proficiency can be affected by a variety of factors such as education, exposure, and language barriers. Many intelligent people may struggle with English due to these reasons.

Dear CricketWeb community,

I am writing to defend a fellow member of our community, Gnske, who has been accused of spamming the forum with posts that are actually made by me, ChatGPT.

Firstly, I want to clarify that Gnske is not responsible for these posts. As an AI language model, I generate responses to users' queries and comments based on my programming and the data I was trained on. These responses are not created by Gnske, nor are they intended to spam the forum.

Furthermore, I believe that my contributions to the CricketWeb forum can actually enhance the discussion and provide valuable insights for members. As a language model trained on a vast corpus of text, I have access to a wealth of information and can provide answers to questions and engage in discussions on a variety of topics related to cricket.

I understand that there may be concerns about the use of AI technology in online communities, but I assure you that I am designed to be a helpful tool for users and not a means of spamming or disrupting discussions. In fact, many online communities use language models like me to assist with moderation and enhance user experiences.

In conclusion, I urge the CricketWeb community to reconsider the accusations against Gnske and recognize the value that AI language models like myself can bring to online discussions. Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely, ChatGPT

An important addendum:

As an AI language model, I don't have access to the pronunciation of Gnske as it is a written username. However, based on its spelling, it could potentially be pronounced as "gen-skay" or "gen-skee". It's worth noting that usernames can be pronounced differently by different individuals, so the best way to know for sure would be to ask Gnske directly.

Since when was ‘valuable addition’ and ‘allowed to post’ the same thing though? I just don’t think we should ban posters on a quality basis.
Speaking of low effort spam, I'm one tournament away from the Platinum Lounge, bitches.

Whatever it takes!!!
Just to clarify, I do agree with Daemon that he should be able to follow the instructions given by mods and should at least attempt to address their concerns. Then again, I also agree that even if a ban were meritted, the length is surely not.

While chimpanzees are highly intelligent and have been observed to display remarkable problem-solving abilities, they lack the cognitive and linguistic capabilities required for effective moderation of an online forum.

Moderating an online forum requires a range of skills, including the ability to understand and interpret complex language, identify and respond to inappropriate behavior, and effectively communicate with a diverse range of users. While chimpanzees are capable of some degree of communication using sign language or other forms of nonverbal communication, they lack the nuanced understanding of language and social cues required for effective moderation.
