*Official* Australia in India 2023

Expected more from Aussies, they have a very good side on paper. Defense very questionable, they're blocking next to the pads barring Steve Smith and Marnus. You never defend next to the pads in India, always in front of the pads. They need a full day training session batting without pads to have any chance rest of the series.

Some serious credit needs to be given to the Indian lower middle order for bailing the team out and putting them in a good position series after series for a good 2-3 years now.
More like since 2015 SA series, it's really been that long how our top/middle order has failed to show up consistently! The 2016-17 years were actually an anomaly in that regard.

Wel done india. Thoroughly dominant and well deserved win. Aus need five bowlers desperately and to basically have a pact that if you get beaten on the inside edge your team mates are allowed to beat you to death.
It seems hitting finger spinners above their head is not as easy as some folks here suggest

I think what Haydos says is fair enough as he's basically saying you guys are weak. At this stage you'd wonder what Australia can possibly do to do better and challenging their pride is about the only thing left.

Well **** me that was bad but honestly don't know how can you improve playing spin like this. Green, Starc and Head should be back.

Despite all this, I expect the Aussies to do better in the remaining games. This was no rank turner, but there will definitely be a couple of them in the remaining games which will give them a chance if their spinners are disciplined enough. India doesn't really need rank turner, our team needs Nagpur kind of tracks, where the batters at least have a decent chance if they apply themselves and the spinners will not have a lot of natural variation.

Rank turners can even out the contest and actually help the touring teams if they quit complaining and get a couple of spinners who can bowl with discipline. The English spinners were giving way too many hit-me deliveries on pitches that were offering square turn, a little bit more disciple from them and they could've plucked out a win or two.

Yeah they are just too good. I've said earlier, can't see anyone beating them as long as Jadeja and Ashwin are playing
Nah, agreed. Those two guys are beast mode by themselves at home, but as a duo are just nigh-on unplayable. You're dealing with two guys bowling from two sides of the body, spinning it different ways, different heights, flights, one has the ability to go the other way, as I say they spin it so subtlely in terms of amount, I just don't see how anyone could play them over there.

This has to be the strategy. If you nick out (inside your eye line), so be it. If you're going to play outside the line, you're bringing two more dismissals into play. Easier said than done, but the amount of lbws and Smith's bowled in the first dig necessitates a change of approach.

While at keep taking about spin Shami comes up with reverse. No respite. India definitely the best team I guess at home and overseas.

He could be covering arrears for Langer

Either way, he is a one bloke who shouldn't be near a microphone
