I mean, to an extent, you do have to consider the ground shape, dimensions, stands etc when determining visibility levels for the players. I am not sure of a standard but surely some level of objectivity should be brought in or at least tried. As far as I know it really is just the umpires decide on a game-by-game basis at some point that it's too dark to continue based on, yes, feels, and then they take a reading to translate their feels into a number that is used as a hard threshold for the rest of the game.
Asinine but to the best of my knowledge that's how it works.
And a universal basic income too, to own the rightardsTotally inept. High time a universal objective light standard was set across the board and ending this **** forever.
I keep changing my mind. Still not conclusiveits 50% turf and 50% palm. not out.
I don't disagree, but the level of variation that would induce is likely less than the random whims of umpires introduces.I mean, to an extent, you do have to consider the ground shape, dimensions, stands etc when determining visibility levels for the players. Those things will influence the amount of light reaching the centre yes. That doesn't alter the visibility at a given brightness.I mean, to an extent, you do have to consider the ground shape, dimensions, stands etc when determining visibility levels for the players. Yes this is correct. As far as I know it really is just the umpires decide on a game-by-game basis at some point that it's too dark to continue based on, yes, feels, and then they take a reading to translate their feels into a number that is used as a hard threshold for the rest of the game.

Do you mean the city of Chennai and the historical context in which Burgey would often refer to how Chennai smells like poo and is basically an open flowing sewer of a city? But because HB was angry the useless mods who couldn't even ban a Nazi who lasted on this forum longer than Nazi Germany lasted in World War Two (2) decided to shut any discourse about Chennai down? Do you mean that?Is Sydney now a worse city than the one starting with a C that shall not be named on Cricket Chat
At least they usually get some play in ChennaiIs Sydney now a worse city than the one starting with a C that shall not be named on Cricket Chat
CorrectVery clearly all test cricket in Australia should be played at either metricon or allan border field.
Tbf Jansen's bowled well with no luck and Rabada produced some amazing spells in between his dross at the gabba.Seriously, imagine if the rest of SA's attack put in half the shift that Nortje has this series
