Yes certainly didn't predict him being outbowled by both Sodhi and Bracewell. Him having a below avg game could well be the difference in NZ not winning this.

The replay prior to ball tracking showed impact was on back leg in front of middle stump whereas the DRS showed it was missing leg stump even before the ball hit the front pad.

I did think DRS looked off, but I thought the ball clipped the front pad first - would need to rewatch to be sure. It did rip hard out of the rough so very much was missing leg imo.

I looked up to be sure but Ajaz seems a bit of a Stuart Broad - either doesn't take many or gets on a roll and takes a bagful. Has the 10 of course, also a couple of 5-fers and a 4-fer, those make up over half his career wickets from 20-ish innings. I don't know if that's above-average or not but my guess is that it is.

Sodhi picking up two tailenders really doesn't change the fact that he got flogged at >4rpo and didn't trouble anyone in the top order.
