Nah not Hardie. He was a batsman

Apparently his brother was an all-rounder too
Maybe Teague Wyllie is who you are thinking of? Made a real nice ton early in this Shield season but hasn't really done much since. Still at least a good couple of years off imo

The brother line is tripping me up here I must say. I know his sister has played for the WA womens team, but I know nothing of any brother

EDIT: Got whooshed here

He's taking the piss, lol. TJB's post on this page gives it away.

Marnus bowling seam up would probably cause these guys issues. Starc averages more than de Bruyn and isn’t too far off Zondo and Erwee. Last time Aus were the walking wounded, Siddle and Hilfenhaus at Adelaide had Smith, Amla, Kallis, AB and Faf to contend with. Even the weak links in that lineup, Rudolph and Petersen, would be top players in this side.
Not unusual for players starting test careers to struggle so wouldn't read too much in the Starc comparison. Their fc stats are clearly better and not dissimilar to Travis Head or even Usman for a good part of his career.

SA could use the Adelaide escape for inspiration. There have been times when 3 man attacks have destroyed oppositions but usually when they've been completely demoralised. I don't believe SA are there yet. Its important Australia keep them in the field today and lead by as much as possible on the first innings. There is an opportunity for SA's bowlers this morning. Then up to their batsmen to succeed in perhaps the only circumstances where they could.

Interesting there the Fox comms saying Warner and Smith both regard Nortje's spell in the arvo session yesterday as the fastest either of them has ever faced.

Always have to be careful with saffer FC stats. Before the format changed a couple of years ago, it counted both the proper domestic FC comp and the old three day tournament which was frankly not even close to actually being first class quality cricket

Wish there was an easier way to seperate out only the proper cricket from the records of South African domestic players

I would have thought Smith might go with the Archer spell

What was the last time two bowlers sustained finger injuries mid way through a game?

Fingers crossed both will be back to full fitness soon

by the deck being so up and down.
That pitch was more inconsistent than the Brisbane one.

What I'd like to see for the next test is:
Hardie
Cummins
Haze/Boland
Lyon
Morris

But I wouldn't be surprised if they either leave out Morris and have Haze and Boland, go with something like Neser at 7 or four bowlers. Or two spinners.

I don't think Neser will play in Sydney. Not the best deck for his type of bowling really. A bit will depend on whether this test is drawn or won. If they win here I reckon they'll play Carey at six, two spinners and one of Hardie or Abbott.
