ZCC vs FHK over the Christmas hols. 22 players split into two XIs, playing home and away in SOD and T20s.

ZCC getting absolutely owned in Game 1 on home turf. Something's really not right with this side. Can't seem to get the chemistry working.

Mooo v Ataraxia in an under-21 match.

ATX have posted 206/8 in their 40 overs.

Vethanayagam bowled a maiden in the last over to give our boys some momentum into the chase.

I think ATX got enough on the board to defend tho.

ZCC cruise to a win in Game 2! Interesting that both sides won away from home. Didn't expect that. In both cases I had the more experienced captain lead the team in the 'Away' game, so I think that might have played a role. ZCC like FHK off the hook from 5/3 under Rockall, and FHK couldn't defend 113 from 126 balls under Ted Hui.

Might simply be a case of fast bowlers can't captain

GG CC got hammered today in the T20 league match.

Arthur Branning was the only shining light tho with 49 off 34

GG are already in the relegation zone after 3 matches, sitting at 3rd to last with an NRR of -1.13

Afzaal ul-Haq blockathon brought AX-W to 223. A solid chase from TNT gave them a win, and a strong Fungai knock gave them the bonus point - just -, off the first ball of the 41st.

AXI whacked Charminster about for a nice win. If Nick Smith had fired the target might've been 50 more. Simmonds hit 123, meaning he scored 469 runs in the last three days of 2022, to cap off a brilliant year for him.

Marcuss and ***** have you played any Chaos Cup matches yet? Or played it before - so tricky to work out the best orders to lose!! kept making mistakes - picking a good keeper or captain etc notwithstanding the headaches of who doesnt bat and where the bowlers bat etc!

haven't played yet, both ZCC and FHK have byes in the crazy lose round. Might try a ZCC vs FHK crazy lose friendly on Thursday to try. I think the strategy would be to figure out 50 overs of crap bowling (with the weakest possible batting to go with it), then the weakest batting around it, worst keeper, and worst captain out of the 11.

AXI look like getting 230-2 in our crazy lose game rn. I've adopted the Ashgrove strategy of bowling 0/1 skill bowlers for the first 30 overs in the hope of the wide every third ball, but battingwise I lack the right players for this (MAS of 1, everyone on 1 aggression)! No hypershit players sadly. Chris Waters (8/5/3 batting) currently 40* (112).
