Pune 2017 was a good pitch and I have no idea what that was the one that people bring up when the pitch that came after that was clearly much more of a lottery especially by Day 3.
Yeah that judgement was ridiculous. India got out to a whole bunch of O'Keefe's stock deliveries (the straight ball). Nothing wrong with the pitch at all. Whereas the next match lots were scuttling along the ground.

Having watched Khaya Zondo multiple times over the years in TV and in person,I always thought he just didn't have the range of strokes to be successful at International level. He does seem to get stuck quite often, the difference in Domestic cricket is he gets a few loose deliveries.

Just an aside,it did irk me that Rassie somehow got a free pass back into the side after missing the series against England. I can only recall the one fifty against the Windies where he actually set up the game for SA. Has done absolutely nothing of note other than that for me. When your 3 and 4 have one century between them in about 70 tests I don't see how you win many matches without the bowlers doing all the work.

The worst pitch by far this decade was Jorburg 2018 in the Ind vs SA series. I'm not exaggerating when I say it could be considered genuinely life threatening.
Yeah that was terrible. Another time when SA played 5 seamers with Andile Phelukwayo in the Test side.

Why would this be my case ? Actually I am enjoying this Test and extent to which small section of Aussie supporters are going to defend this pitch . It is giving me a good laugh ?
You still haven't seen any of the game. You just want the pitch to be bad because you've got a massive chip on your shoulder

I mean wasn't that when SA were quite explicit that they were doctoring pitches to suit their quicks? Hard to have too much sympathy for Elgar and co there.

Its because people like you are calling it an awful pitch, which it clearly isn’t. Its a bowling friendly pitch with a lot of talented over friendly bowlers currently playing.
