*Official* Australia vs West Indies - Frank Worrell Trophy 2022

Oh so he didn't just randomly decide to "go rogue". I'm shocked.
Tbf it still seems like he came up with it. But yeah if CA not just knew, endorsed and told Warner to go ahead with that whole thing, then that gives the subsequent punishments a rather different complexion...

I still think he will but if he isn’t scoring runs against the West Indies he’s gonna get eaten alive by Nortje and Rabada.
I meant with everything flying around and knowing what lies ahead, he might pull the plug himself. I won't hugely mind that if I am guaranteed that Renshaw is the replacement but they will bring ****ing Harry

If they did, would that not come out by now by one of the guilty party?

Far fetched accusation for my liking

Warner's player manager apparently claimed that CA executives on tour not just knew about but told Warner to go ahead with the sandpaper plan.

Been deleted now though...
That's a lot for a CA exec to get on board with during a tea break,m which is when the plot was allegedly hatched.

I call bullshit. But cheers for the explanation.

Ah so apparently this conversation actually happened in 2016 when SA skittled Aus twice in Hobart. Rather more "sour grapes" than "explosive accusation" then.

Brathwaite is apparently not aware of the fact this isn't an ODI. Maybe Warner's batting the previous over fooled him.

When the injustice of Cape Town first came to light, Warner was looking at completely losing his livelihood and went in the hole for millions which he would otherwise have earned in endorsements. There's no way he'd have kept that to himself if it's true.

I call it the injustice of Cape Town because it plainly was just that. When you think the opposing skipper is a serial offender and other (albeit lesser) cricketing nations appoint players to the captaincy after they 'd been found guilty of ball tampering, then CA's over reaction was insane.

Edit: Ah, I see there's now a different context on the whole thing. I stand corrected.
