England test tour of Pakistan December 2022

They haven't won a test in NZ since 2008 (Southee's debut). It will be interesting to see how BazBall goes here.
If they get through the first day and a half the NZ wickets usually flatten out which will suit an aggressive chase.

You're not seriously suggesting BigBam is as annoying as Hinton? Come on.

I really don't have too much of an issue with either fella tbh, but if his name was Krishna Hinton and he was banging on about India in a similar vein you'd be all over him like Cribbeh browsing a White Supremacist YouTube channel.

I find it funny how there was that article a week or so ago with Cook saying that Bazball probably won't work in Pakistan and they'll need to be much more measured. The country capable of producing the most lifeless decks in the world, where Sehwag averaged 91. Think it says more about Cook's approach to the game than anything else.

Yes. If there is one country where it can work successfully, it is definitely Pakistan pancake pitches.

Lol, he's not so different to you mate just minus the passive aggressive bs.
Must be true the saying about accusation being disguised projection. Hinton’s a parody. But you are the full on jingoist with the nasty Victorian era streak. You must’ve recognised yourself. Which is why you took a remark that wasn’t directed at you so personally. And as a subsequent post outlines; you’re quite the hypocrite too.

It’s still early days for bazball but this effort shows it can be done OS. Not a clincher yet but McCallum might yet be one of the great game changers. I mean Steve Waugh’s 4 rpo benchmark was amazing. But introducing LOI run rates to tests is incredible - and with a batting side not to be compared to Waugh’s.

What's CH done apart from talk up the side he goes for in a an over the top manner? If you don't take him too seriously (fool to anyone who does) he's harmlessly amusing.

I won't comment on bambino.....if i said what I think there I'd be copping a perma so better I don't.

You are underestimating current English line up on flat wickets under Mccullum.

If you give the same wicket to India of 2005 , Sehwag would score 250 on 210 balls, Dravid would score 120 on 240 balls . Team total around 375 in 75 overs

Similarly Australia of 2000-07 would score 400 runs in 75 overs . 25 runs extra due to Ponting more aggressive batting than Dravid and Hayden slightly less aggressive batting than Sehwag.

But in current England team everyone is trying to bat like Sehwag/Gilchrist/Mccullum.
While individually they might not be as talented as these guys but their team effort is producing these 100 extra runs .
I am definitely not undermining England's batting here. If they maintain this sort of approach for the next 5 years, they stand a solid chance of becoming an ATG batting line up.

Feel bad for fast bowlers here, they work so hard with their fitness and hit the gym regularly, and now that they get served such pitches what good will it do to their confidence?
