Not much interested in Indian cricketers. Kohli is a show-off. Root is a better batsman than him and I have no idea about Kapil, never saw him play and his record is not extraordinary.

Kohli is the perfect compromise for both conditions. Pujara is a better player of spin than Dravid too but no way I'm dropping him.

There's one possible scenerio in which he doesn't imo. You rate Hazare very highly and think he was the better batsman. It's a bit out there but Hazare can be given enough points for being a pioneer to be rated ahead of Kohli.

I don’t believe in a fixed ATXI . I believe in a flexible line up . So, 2 or 3 players can be dropped and replaced as per requirement . However if you want a fixed ATXI for all countries, then Kohli is the answer.

Also he's not better than Kohli anywhere except NZ but who cares about that. Kohli is the fourth best Indian batsman away. Almost no touring batsman has been that good in SA let alone Asian batsmen (except Tendulkar).
