CW’s new tagline? Both side have made same argument atleast 5 times .

TBH, moving Jayasuriya or Akram from the side means team loses both an additional and a left arm bowling option which can be important.Jayasuriya/Lara

Is my ODI ATG XI. Choose anyone from the / and the team won't lose anything.
no it does not, Imran’s a league away in terms of sr and at 7 he isn’t going to face enough balls to score that many runs to make a difference. Kapil is likely to get out more often but you take that risk when he is going to be quick in scoring his runs at 7 from the lesser balls faced. Klusener is valid competition but he isn’t near as good with the ballHis high SR is balanced by a low run yield. Imran is 10 runs ahead of him, Klusener nearly 20 runs ahead.
Yes, average is the same as run yield. His high SR is balanced by a low run yield.
What Sunil said. One has to watch him in play to understand how good he is.Early 20s. Why?
Not a great analysis. You are confusing who may be more suitable at no.7 in an ATG XI with who was a better all-rounder.I don’t know why people think if Imran averaged 33 throughout his career, during which he batted in different roles such as a proper middle order batsmen(3-5) and a lower middle order batsmen/finisher(6-8), he will average the same at 7 or 8. Averages of similar positions can be compared. If Kohli averages 50+ at 3, he can be expected to bat well at 4 or 5, but not to open or bat at 6 or 7 that well. We can also not expect MS Dhoni to be a better opener than Rohit Sharma because he averages higher than Rohit, for more runs. Imran averages 38 and above when batting inside the top 5. This raised his career average to 33. We cannot use the data from his stats when batting inside top 5 to determine his skills at 7. We can only use data from his batting below the top 5 to do so. This is important since both Kapil and Imran are bowling allrounders and will bat outside the top 5. Now at 6: Imran averages 30 and strikes at 75, and at, he averages 28 and strikes at 81. At 6, Kapil averages 26 and strikes at 97, and at 7, Kapil averages 24, and strikes at 88. Hence as a bowling all rounder, Kapil is better than Imran, and more suitable for an ATG ODI 11
Azhar, Jayasuriya, Mahanama, Harris, Dilshan, Big Mac, ABdV can make that side easily,Only absolute gun fielders

And Jaya is a death bowler too. Bowled exceptionally in the death in 96 WC, before he tore his shoulder. Then he lost his rocket ball.We pick Jayasuriya because he also has 323 ODI wickets . If Sehwag had 200 ODI wickets then his case would have been much strong .
Jayasuriya would be very useful if you pick only 4 main bowlers and rely on Jayasuriya + Klusener to complete remaining 10.
