It can't help Kane that he's looking at his batting card and seeing neeshaw at 6, Santner at 7 and 4 #9's or worse. Phillips can give you overs, so can Mitchell. This side is basically 2 batsmen short.

Or the more obvious of changes that helps the whole balance for me is Macewell for Sodhi, which means we have Santner who's a weak no 7, but strong no 8, drop down one... This completely changes the batting depth.

I swear the two worst grounds we could play against subcontinent teams in NZ are both Mt Maunganui & Napier. Both seem to just seem to suit SC sides better than the us.

Got on the wets with Sumo a couple of years ago at an ACC event, the guy knows his cricket inside and out so it always amazes me some of the garbage he spits out in the comm box. My only theory is that Spark are angling him to be the Mark Howard kind of anchor for it and have told him to leave the cricket to the ex-players haha.

Haha but two years ago he was calling a left handers' fine leg third man!
