His batting has fallen off a cliff at international level. Lucky to be in the squad.West Indies to a calm head like Royston Chase as captain
Windies have a dangerous attack and Aussie pitches have been far more bowler friendly in recent times. Wouldn't surprise me if Australia get rolled cheaply once and make a game interesting.Test cricket is torturous to watch when it’s down hill skiing for 5 days. Going to pretend this series doesn’t exist
Think the problem is that the windies attack is so much better with the Duke ball. Always a chance thoughWindies have a dangerous attack and Aussie pitches have been far more bowler friendly in recent times. Wouldn't surprise me if Australia get rolled cheaply once and make a game interesting.
yeah nah still gonna be boring for the most partWindies have a dangerous attack and Aussie pitches have been far more bowler friendly in recent times. Wouldn't surprise me if Australia get rolled cheaply once and make a game interesting.
I really don't get why Chase is still in peoples heads as a viable candidate for selection in red ball cricket, let alone captaincy. It just blows my mind, it's like the last 3 years of awful performances averaging 10 with the bat and 40 with the ball don't exist......His batting has fallen off a cliff at international level. Lucky to be in the squad.
A top 3 of Brathwaite, Chanderpaul and Bonner will be a test of patience. Could be 20/2 after 20 overs.
Problem is if we get them out for 250 the will get us for 150. The Aussie attack is too good and we will basically rely on individual batting heroics and our seamers suddenly being as good with the kookaburra as they are with the dukes. If ever West Indies where gonna win a test series against Australia in Australia it would be now Australia are fragile team since langer left
Langer did **** allIf ever West Indies where gonna win a test series against Australia in Australia it would be now Australia are fragile team since langer left
Pak tour in 2019 has to be close. Is this the least hyped Test series on Australian soil in recent memory? Feels like it.
It's understandable given our last couple of tours and the quality of our batting lineup. I've only just found out that the warm up match starting on Thursday is against an ACT/NSW XI in Canberra. On most websites it still says TBD and we have no idea who will be in that XI.Is this the least hyped Test series on Australian soil in recent memory? Feels like it.
Replace 7 with off imoStarFighter would be a better Username.
Yeah he's a horrible selection but as the only spin option in the squad he should probably play. Should be made to bat 8 though, no way do Holder or JDS deserve to be moved down the order to accommodate him. That's a potentially good pace attack atleastYeah he's a horrible selection but as the only spin option in the squad he should probably play. Should be made to bat 8 though, no way do Holder or JDS deserve to be moved down the order to accommodate him. Something like:
1 Brathwaite
2 Chanderpaul
3 Bonner
4 Blackwood
5 Mayers
6 JDS
7 Holder
8 Chase
9 Joseph
10 Roach
11 Seales
Rakheem! If they really wanted the spin option to offer something with the bat they should've just picked Cariah imo.
Everyone's laughing, riding and cornwallingRakheem!
