I think there's this idea that he can't replicate his manic test batting in the shorter formats for whatever reason. Could be due to the different field settings, which is what stopped Michael Slater from adapting back in the day. The most aggressive test batter in the team was sluggish and useless in white ball
You'd have to think he'd adjust eventually though(Pant)

He’s had one of the best IPL seasons a batsman ever could have a few years ago and followed it up with another great one too. Also been good in ODIs since 2019. Just T20s for India where he is crap

they keep ****ing around with him. he is asked to do everything. finisher at 6 one day, opener the next. dropped if he ****s up in either role quickly. not being handled well

Yeah okay, you'd have to think if he'd adjust soon then, and by that I mean if he scored a 20 ball fifty in his next international T20 match it would barely be surprising
If he can handle the top bowlers in the world and can do well in domestics, you'd think it's only a matter of persisting with him
