Bugger, if it comes down to NRR then Aus and England will have the benefit of playing their last games after NZ. Kane and co will need to be pretty ruthless v SL and Ireland to secure their place.

We should be able to wallop Ireland (should, not will) but I doubt we'll be able to score fast enough against Afghanistan's spinners. The fact Finch is obsessed with chasing when the lineup is rubbish at it doesn't help.

Playing double headers in Melbourne in October is unbelievably stupid

It’s actually unbelievably stupid to play them anywhere in Australia at present
Why are Australia acting like they have three grounds in the whole country ? Absolutely no need to have double headers on the same ground..A couple of matches could have been saved had they started early .

If you want a more general measure of how moronic the scheduling is, after having three games yesterday (mid-week) they're only having one tomorrow, a Saturday.
