Especially after choosing to bowl.Yeah, we're going to be finished off by the rain now. As you say, they would have known it was coming, so more fools them for being behind on DL.
WoakesBlame Malan for whatever the **** he was upto
He probably has to be circumspect with the two early wickets but it's criminal getting out for a run a ball thirty when you need much more than that.Blame Malan for whatever the **** he was upto
He was awful and (IMHO) he's essentially a cowardly selection (picked as much for the extra batting he offers as for his bowling), but I think you have to doff the cap to the Irish here; better team won.Woakes
The other options are Jordan and Willey. Neither of whom are better. He was awful and (IMHO) he's essentially a cowardly selection (picked as much for the extra batting he offers as for his bowling), but I think you have to doff the cap to the Irish here; better team won.
To be fair every other side would want to kick England down repeatedly if that is the motivation.Distinct early NZ v Oz feel about it, IMHO. Little brother pissed off at being patronised by big brother and wants to kick him repeatedly in the cobblers' awls.
Tbf, the Irish have been pretty shambolic as well. They pissed 170+ up the wall, looked a 50:50 chance to drop even basic chances and bowled a shocking number of wides (10 in 14 overs). Really quite remarkable that they managed to hang in for long enough to get the W.Fair play to the Micks. A 5 run loss (if the DL stuff I've heard is correct) massively flatters England.
We've been piss poor for 80% of the game.
Mills too, tbf. But arguably your point stands. The other options are Jordan and Willey. Neither of whom are better.
Who says they don't?To be fair every other side would want to kick England down repeatedly if that is the motivation.
