Who is the worst player of all time that would be selected in every XI in history?

Thanks to all this Flintoff talk, I feel like watching the Ashes 2005 DVDs today. All depends if they’re in the loft or were in one of the boxes I brought down.

That's funny, I just finished watching my DVDs of 2006-07 and 2013-14 back-to-back. Nothing kicks like 10-0

I'm a huge Shakib fan, but he wouldn't have made the Sri Lankan team when they had a middle order of Sanga, Jayawardene, Samaraweera, and Mathews along with Murali and Herath as the spin attack. Neither would Jadeja for that matter.

This didn't really happen. Herath mostly sat out when Murali was available and didn't actually get any good until after Murali's retirement (he played 15 Tests with Murali in which he took 39 wickets @ 45 apiece, and played 78 of his Tests without him).

From memory the second spinner with Murali was usually Dharmasena, Chandana, who surely could be replaced by Shakib. Perhaps the exception would be Ajanthe Mendis who was, very briefly, exceptionally effective

Didn't channel 9 replay amazing Adelaide and Gilly's ton(that's the best of the lot!) enough for you? During rain breaks and stuff. Lol that's one series I never need to revisit. As well as a certain bowler getting a birthday Hattrick

Jadeja would walk in to any Sri Lankan test team, at any point of history.

Probably would do to many Australian XIs too.

Shakib doesn't get into Indian XIs with Jadeja and Ashwin imo.
India go 3 spinners at home, and he's by far the best batsman of the trio. He plays.

Away from home, while Ashwin and Jadeja have had a few good games now, they took their sweet time. Might as well pick the guy who bats well.

So yeah Shakib comfortably makes India imo, especially once that middle order fell to bits.

nah shakib doesn't get by martyn imho; i wonder if he'd get into those 60's(?) indian sides that had those really good spinners like bedi and that too, probably as a bat?

Yeah he'd make it as a batsman there.

Wouldn't make it into West Indies with Sobers tho.
