Who is the worst player of all time that would be selected in every XI in history?

He wouldn't based on balance but would Stokes? Would either get into a stacked middle order at the expense of a better batsman? I'm wondering if a guy that's a good #6 and a good support bowler could make every side once you take the balance of the bowling attack out of it.
Stokes wouldn't have been picked for Australia when they had Keith Miller. If Cameron Green stays fit he wouldn't make the Aussie side in a few years either.

Sobers might ruin this though. Might well be a West Indies side in his era that neither Stokes or Shakib make just on batting.
Stokes or Shakib could possibly bat 7 for the WI, but it would be an odd attack (3 main bowlers, plus Sobers, Stokes/Shakib, and Worrell).

Martyn's India exploits stand out more than anything Bell ever did. It's Martyn.

Misbah?

The answer is likely Martyn himself.

Obviously makes his own team because he was in it. Noone worse than him is going to make it because he was the worst bat in it. Probably makes every other team in history at his peak.

His team isn't improved by him being in it though ffs

Also is Martyn even the worst player in that XI? Langer or Gillespie might have a lower value for the overall team even though we are using it as a benchmark

It would have to be a #6. West Indies carried Bavuma-level players like Logie for a while. Martyn, whilst much better, is nowhere close to ATG level too. Pretty subjective to decide what's the worst batsman better than Martyn. I'd say someone like Mathews.
Too early to call it an HB but I'm doing it anyway. I think Mathews was a good shout too.

Lee was the worst imo, but other attacks had better worst bowlers in it which is why we're focusing on Martyn.

Someone that can open the batting better than Langer, but is worse than Martyn in the middle order, but better than whoever the Windies/England had in their middle order.
