Are WSC super tests available online? I am talking about ball by ball and not just highlights.

I am not just looking for something free. As long as it’s from reliable source, I will be okay with price.

Viv’s best performance gotta be him opening against Tommo and Lillie at their their peak in 75-76 and scoring 101, 50, 98 in three innings.

From all accounts, those two were trying to kill the opposition batsmen. Sadly, there is no footage available of that series.
Best has got to be 79/80 against Australia when he averaged 96.

A small amount of footage came to light a few months ago. It’s not a huge amount, but it’s more than I ever expected to see.
The footmarks on that pitches and the lack ****s give by the umpire when the bowlers run onto the pitch are interesting by modern standards.

He isn’t the only one. Have seen others mentioning him as an elite player of spin plenty times.
Yea he was a very good player of spin, but he wasn’t better than Sachin. He was just so **** vs everything else that is seems accentuated, unlike Sachin.

Out of the Indian players listed, Sehwag is the only one I’d say was definitively better than Sachin.

There are definite flaws in his record.
Yes but isn’t part of what is impressive about him is that you need to start REALLY digging like crazy and coming up with lots of crazy parameters to even start looking at any flaws? He has one of the best rounded and least flawed records. You have to do crazy work to find a flaw.
There’s also something to be said for averaging nearly 40 or thereabouts while in his teens playing against some very good attacks. It’s very impressive but not really reflected accurately in his stats/records.

Two very powerful men and very sacred cows - Viv could beat up any bowler behind the stands at the close of play, but Sachin could carry the weight of India on his shoulders. It’s a tight battle, but the winner has to be GARY SOBERS for his definitely very good spin bowling.

SRT's record is definitely less flawed if you look at it fairly. You have to jump through hoops and invoke subjective hogwash like swagger and dominance to prop up lower averages across the board. While we're at it Tendulkar had the pressure of a billion people and carried his team. I find the curly hair quiete charming and think chewing gum is lame therefore Tendulkar stomps on Viv.
I used to buy into that "pressure of a billion people" line seriously when I was like 19, now I find it annoyingly cringe.

Back to the comparison, Tendulkar is the most complete batsman ever to have played the game, and I am trying to be as objective as possible. The only thing missing in his resume is a Graham Gooch like series scoring big against ATG attacks at their prime (he did handle peak Steyn quite well in 2010 and 2011 though).

I am still undecided on who is better, they're both so different in their style of game.

Fact remains majority of those who saw Richards in his heyday rate him higher. Make of that what you want. Same goes for Lillie. All who played with/ against him or saw him play, almost unanimously put him at the top.

And, in before trundler points out Benaud rating Tendulkar higher; I said “majority”.

If this poll was about who'd you pay to watch then Viv wins this hands down but in terms of the overall output Wisden ratings sum up my opinion i.e. Viv better than Sachin by tiniest of margins in ODIs while Sachin better than Viv by a slightly bigger margin in tests.
I would pay to watch Sachin even over Viv. Some of the shots that Sachin played to perfection can't be played by anyone else.

Sure. There would be people who would choose Sachin to watch bat over Viv.

But majority rate Viv higher than Sachin because of his arrogance and ability to smash fast bowlers with authority and disdain, something that very very few batsmen have done in world cricket. And that for me is a sight to behold even though I rate Sachin slightly better than Viv overall.
