New Zealand A tour of India (A) – September 2022

Yes that's about right. Balding gritty fighters, slightly deficient in the finer batting arts, yet scoring well down at five or lower, that isn't one of NZ's current problems.

It's the top-order lavender boys, with their pretentious attempts to conceal very vulgar, lax and sloppy Kiwi upbringings, yet failing to do a particularly convincing job.

Selectors will of course turn to the neatness of South Africans (hey maybe South Americans, big burly and bearded Argentinian openers, one day...), hoping to get some better starch and toil up front than Latham or Young will seemingly ever provide them against the big teams.

Good news. They are playing again and Carter has brought up his 100!
207/5 (Carter 110*)

A big series here and he might take Will Young's spot on the tour of Pakistan.

Heh, they'd make him open the batting though, just like Young.

Can you tell Conway to apply more of that neatness to his inside edge and more starch to catches hit behind square on the legside, pls.

He actually used to be an opener. Eventually lost his domestic contract IIRC, he wasn't very good.

He's been really quite successful at domestics since his return, as a middle order bat. At least he bats 4 for ND , not 5 and like some others on this tour.

He hasn't done great with his previous NZ A opportunities though, hence I've had him as just a place filler for this tour rather than serious prospect.

But, good on him.

Does this game get FC status? Carter’s bested his highest score to date. Great to see him take the opportunity, though I don’t know how many of the XI are actually in the running for the Pakistan tour.

Will follow just for Sarfraz Khan his FC stats make him look the next coming of Bradman surprising that he is not an IPL superstar already

India A off to a flier looks like. Panchal & Easwaran will mostly likely never make it to main side.
Patidar Sarfaraz & young Tilak are the ones to watch out for.
Bowling attack for this game was particularly rubbish from India A. Likes of Siraj Saini Prasidh Axar used to play A games for us... Selectors are clueless on who to pick. Umran Mohsin Tyagi should get these games.
