Really don't like it when Root fails. There's solace to be had when the story is 'England are bad but Root continues to gun it'. Don't feel that about anyone else in the side to the same extent.

I defended the Harmer selection but seeing the bounce in this pitch think jansen was the better pick with hindsight. Would have been a nightmare playing someone at tall as him from a left arm angle and decent pace on this deck.

Would love to see Smith vs Jansen later this year,it will be similar as Wagner vs Smith.

He was also a better pick without hindsight.

No one ever nicks out down the leg side any more unless it's a short ball. I feel like that used to be semi-common. Maybe they've become very disciplined about not playing past their pad.
Devon Conway and Tom Latham have made an art form of it over the past 12-18 months.

It's not all doom and gloom for SA just yet, England won't want to be chasing much more than 150 in the 4th innings, despite their strong showing
for chasing in recent times. They will need a batsman to play a good innings though, can't rely on Rabada to be top scorer too often.
Who knows, if Nelson can strike early tomorrow it's game on.

Look, not gambhiring here, but of course it isn't over we’ve Broad at 8, Foakes in no form, and Stokes hasn't done anything substantial in awhile. Has often said a massive session first up tommorrow, but in low scoring matches, most sessions are massive.

Yet hey it was a very good day for us today. :cool2:

So I guess we can add "brilliantly intelligent" to the list of phrases used to describe Crawley.

huge lol at the likelihood crawley lands at the point of "does well enough in this innings it'd vibe as sort of dog to drop him, but he's still obviously ass"
