Its what gives SA such a hard selection problem... Jansen has high potential as a tall left arm swing bowler and as a batsmen, Olivier is an outright pace man that has been consistently good and Ngidi has become this new ball and/or change bowler that takes wickets through deception and well Rabada is one of the best fast bowlers in the world... And its difficult to drop Maharaj who has, in my opinion, been the most consistent slow bowler in the long format of the game.Yeah, he's the least talked about member of this South African fast bowling quartet, yet he has almost 50 wickets at an average of 21.
Sucks to be say... Gerald Coetzee in that current setting. Still think Shamsi can be a top test bowler as well, now that he's getting more control, but it's such a gamble because he may be worse batter than Ngidi...Its what gives SA such a hard selection problem... He's bad.Has Dom Sibley fallen off the map completely then? Was looking tidy enough when they toured here?
Never mind that... for a proper team balance we probably need to drop one of them to get Mulder into the team.Sucks to be say... Gerald Coetzee in that current setting. Coetzee does have age on his side. He's seven years younger than Nortje, so there's still an opportunity for a test career, even if it's not an extended one. Unless of course, another hotshot bowler comes along and leapfrogs him, which is entirely possible.Sucks to be say... Gerald Coetzee in that current setting.
It's not just may be worse. The only time Ngidi comes in at 10 is when Shamsi's playing.Still think Shamsi can be a top test bowler as well, now that he's getting more control, but it's such a gamble because he may be worse batter than Ngidi...
I think Bazball is a dumb media meme but I almost hope it keeps working just so I don't have to see posts like this every single ****ing day England play cricket and do anything marginally wrong.Crawley has scored more than Root and pope combined .what a disaster.I am not surprised that the hated Bazbal has failed as it will more times than not with this batting lineup against world class bowling ie Australia South Africa. The one off against India was just that a one off freak result
Most of the Eng batsmen have largely haplessly flapped at all the SA bowlers...England hopelessly flapping at Maharaj really rubs in how bad NZ not bowling/selecting Patel was.
But preferably the Mulder smashing it for Leics not the one with a highest score of 36 after 10 tests.Never mind that... for a proper team balance we probably need to drop one of them to get Mulder into the team.
