Team of the tournament after 10 group matches:

1) Rusty Frost / o (B-AXI: 409 runs at 45.44, 26 sixes, 2 hundreds; the quintessential pinch-hitter is impossible to leave out despite bot-bashing)
2) Jacob Sampson / (A-JUR: 452 runs at 56.50, HS 133; the barely-nineteen year old has had a breakout tournament, leading run-scorer thus far)
3) Sam Ellery + / (A-TBI: 325 runs at 40.63; the Australian former national keeper-batsman will anchor the innings and take the gloves)
4) Raun Shkorer / (A-ZCC: 369 runs at 61.50; the batting titan, despite a couple of plops, has inevitably shown his class in CWC5)
5) Anthony Davidson* / (B-TMO: 344 runs at 38.22; he's certainly shown his worth recently has Davo, and he captains the team to boot)
6) Abdul Salman / (A-TBI: 384 runs at 48.00, 21 sixes; this aggressive, experienced batsman will finish off an innings well)
7) Navrang Gopalan o / (A-JUR: 23 wickets at a9.74, 6 sixes; trundler and swashbuckling hitter will serve as the primary all-rounder of the team)
8) Din Alam o / (A-HUN: 23 wickets at a10.74; the veteran 30yo Hunks all-rounder definitely isn't past it yet)
9) Lai O Yin (B-FHK: 20 wickets at a7.75 and e6.12; the clutch cult favourite earns a spot in this XI)
10) Chris Waters o (B-AXI: 22 wickets at a9.41 and e6.40; economical death spinner has done well this tournament)
11) Chung Yiu o (A-ZCC: 23 wickets at a7.43 and e5.32; the experienced quick has posted remarkable numbers up)

Group A heavy, interestingly. Obviously was massively tempting to include Hlengwa, but couldn't quite justify it...

great results for FHK in CWC5B today. Smashed SCT, while Moooo wrecked GG CC and TMO upset WCC. I reckon that puts us in 3rd place with a bit of breathing room.

I just saw it now lol; happening to glance at the result beforehand, going through that commentary file I was waiting for a classic collapse, but it never came. I love how hax this T20 bowling lineup is. In the side are four spinners, three variation-heavy, two Economical. Two other Dev spinners are also variation-heavy, it's very fun.

ZCC's two lineups for today have clocked in at 51k (vs Pirates) and 58k (vs TNT). Pretty pleased that we can put out two teams that strong simultaneously. Should win both these games comfortably as well. Will be interesting to see how FHK's two XIs look for their matches later today.

AX-W were, again, smashed by the Buy-Ins. Again, a ton of AX-W batters got off to promising starts and then... got out. It's been a theme this tournament, lol.

A couple of highlights were Abdul Salman's 129* (56)! and Mark Hurst, with the 2nd-best BQ in the team, going for 75 off his four overs. In the real world (T20 Blast), a leggie broke the record for most runs conceded by a bowler to boot (82). Fun; I even opted for him this game because he was more economical than the other option!

A smashing in the end by @ataraxia ... well done! Loved the century by Kock, and Coetzee did not do a bad job but not enough of the rest of the top order did enough. Needed to keep ataraxia below 300 to have a chance I think, and did not have the bowling to do that.

GG CC playing ATX right now.

So far our boys got rid of Frost and Murdoch for single digit scores.

Our friend, Michael Winton is at the crease with Ollie Smith

ATX 21/2 (4.0)

FHK put up 50k and 56k, won both games easily as well. Agnes Chow hit 125 vs TNT, her 4th career ton and new Fr. 50 over HS.

ATX got 159 in their 20 overs

Branning with 58(28) just took the game away from GG CC. He got good support from Michael Winton 39 (38)z

Let’s hope this chase goes well…
Branning's a gun. Top knock from Ernst, but didn't get any support. Thanks for the game!

In the runfest against TMO, Kurt Murdoch achieved a massive milestone: 500 club games. First to achieve it for AXI; we've played 575 games in total. In other AXI stats, three players have hit over 100 sixes for the club. Kurt and Rusty have both hit 195, and Branning 196. That's a stat.
