having said that, none of the current world test sides would stack up against past great sides . there has been a drop off in quality for sure due to t20 and other things.

Yeah they would be, I just think if you’ve got an attack which can take 20 wickets anywhere, you’re always a chance. I don’t really see any weaknesses in the current Indian attack. They can bowl sides out anywhere

It all comes back to Kohli imo. If he gets back to even 80% of what he was, it will make such a massive difference. I hope he does, I've come to actually like the bloke these days. Carried on a bit but always prioritized test cricket, to his credit.

Nick Kyrgios is like the likeable class clown at school, except if instead of pulling funny pranks and being cheeky with teachers, he took a massive **** in the middle of the classroom. And then scooped it up and smeared a swastika all over the wall. And then tipped over the kid in the wheelchair. And then went into a persecutory rant about people being against him. While manipulating his arsehole into a "talking goatse".

Nothing needs more Nick Kyrgios energy.

Someone's been eating up the media's anti-Kyrgios propaganda

bold of you to declare he's conceptually akin to scrawling a swastika with his own feces given you don't follow tennis not gonna lie

How engaged in tennis do you have to be to be justified in saying someone is conceptually akin to someone drawing a swastika in their own ****? Probably a lot, yeah? But what are the scales?
haha as long as you're on an anonymous board do what you like

This Test just makes Oz's Test tour of Sri Lanka in 2016 all the more amazing as one would've expected that's how those 3 Tests would've turned out, even more so. Australia were No. 1 ranked Test team, likes of Smith and Warner were closer to their peak, Starc was in career-best form, Sri Lanka had poor Test form in the leadup and - Herath apart - their side didn't seem much stronger than this one is.

And yet it was Australia's only 3 Test or more losing whitewash in recent decades (I think 1982 Pakistan tour was the previous one they had) and was a nightmare on pretty much all fronts.

Edit: Forgot Oz lost 4-0 in India in 2013.
